Huh. Ain't it typical.
No sooner do I write a foreword for my ole pals Ian Whelan & Alan Nolan's collected TPB of their superb comicbook SANCHO (check out http://www.20000-leagues.com/ and http://sanchocomic.blogspot.com/ ) but then I find out that they've only gone and got themselves shortlisted for an Eagle Award! The Eagles are like the comic book version of the BAFTAs. Or, if you will, the Oscars for geeks.
SANCHO is shortlisted for Fave European Comic (Ireland's now part of Europe -- who knew?) and as it's a public vote I guess you can vote for them, if you have to, at

I suppose in the spirit of transparency I should state that I have written for SANCHO in the past. And I almost lived to tell the tale.
